Although I have never built my own fursuit, I am still a very active fursuiter.
My first fursuiting experence came in my teens when I'd help out the City of Milwaukee's Recylcing program, which my dad was in charge of, by using either of there mascots, Can-garoo (A Kangaroo) and Al-uminum (An anthro aluminum can) in local parades and such.
I also got to play the White Rabbit in a 4th grade school play poroduction of "The Trial of Alice in Wonderland"
And then when I entered college in fall of 1997, I got to be one of The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee's regular mascotter's, wearing our mascot, Victor E the Panther, to a lot of our basketball teams NCAA Division 1 basketball games, including playing The Wisconsin Badgers in Madison, and mascoting along side of Bucky Badger. I also met SK-1 during this time, and he really helped me learn how to do a better job mascoting.
But I dropped out of school, and so had to stop mascoting on a professional scale for a while.
But for Chirstmas of 1999, my good friend Tyrin gave me a fursuit of a wer pink and black racoonish type creature which I had adored for a very long time, and so I begin wearing it to a lot of the local furry outings.
And then in the spring of 2000, I got the chance to return to professional mascoting again, being Kooky the mascot of The Orlando Kraze, a local low level Soccer team.
