Yash & I went to the GRCA National Specialty
Here is a pic of us.

This one is a better pic of US, but the background is not so good.

This lady is a vet tech at the specialty practice where a lot of the goldens in this area go for their cancer treatment. Here, we see her with her dog Dreamer just after they'd taken first place (I don't know the agility terminolgy, but someone told me the class was similar to "Utility" in Obedience.)

Yash sez standing on two inches of ice is a good start but his brain is still at risk. Remember folks, extreme heat is VERY dangerous for dogs.

Here's some of the "dog show" dogs we've been hearing about. (Note the tight leashes.)

To pull a wheelchair across level pavement is not a huge physical exertion for a dog. Once you're coasting, it's really pretty easy and you look like you're zooming effortlessly along and you pretty much are.
Go from level pavement into a grass pasture and the physics changes QUITE A BIT!.
The dog has to DIG IN and WORK HARD.
The faces of the onlookers betrayed the schism in doggie-belief-systems in our culture.
Some seemed to say:
"Look at that dog working hard! How cool! How exhilerating!"
And others:
"Look at that dog working hard! How awful! How disgusting!"
Loaded for the trip home after a hard days work.
(Do you see that look of self-satisfaction with a job well-done?)
