Paul
Byron has returned to Central Florida after having served
as a trial attorney with the United Nations International
Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia from 2001-2003,
where he investigated war crimes, crimes against humanity
and grave breaches of the Geneva Convention in The Hague,
Netherlands. Mr. Byron supervised and conducted complex financial
investigations concerning top-ranking political and military
leaders in Bosnia And Herzegovina and in the Republic of Croatia.
Mr. Byron also assisted in the financial investigation of
the Former president of Yugoslavia, Slobodan Milosevic. Prior
to his work with the U.N., Mr. Byron spent over ten years
with the United States Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney's
Office for the Middle District of Florida as a trial attorney.
Mr. Byron was also one of three finalists for appointment
as United States Attorney for the Middle District of Florida.
Mr. Byron has successfully tried cases involving complex health
care fraud, insurance fraud, RICO consumer fraud, international
money laundering, drug trafficking and public corruption.
Mr. Byron has appeared on national television, including Dateline
NBC and the Discovery Channel to discuss his innovative trial
strategies and successes. Mr. Byron has recovered approximately
100 million dollars on behalf of the United States through
various forfeiture proceedings. Mr. Byron also worked in the
Civil Division of the United States Attorney's Office where
his practice concerned medical malpractice defense, employment
discrimination defense and civil litigation against health
care providers and defense contractors. Mr. Byron was awarded
the prestigious Directors Award for Outstanding Contributions
to the U.S. Department of Justice. Mr. Byron began his legal
career as an officer in the United States Army, Judge Advocate
General's Corps. Mr Byron has lectured extensively around
the world, including Africa and Eastern Europe, to Ministries
of Finance, Central Banks and private banking on Anti-Money
Laundering, International Banking, Anti-Terrorist and Financing
and the USA PATRIOT ACT. Mr. Byron is available for referral,
